We are pleased to introduce this new hand-crafted communion ware by Brenda DeMass of Earthen Vessels! We have commissioned this work so that our customers will have a wider choice of communion pottery styles. Like our own communionware, it is made of a sturdy high-fire stoneware clay and is entirely hand-crafted. The paten (platter) is oval-shaped and slab-constructed (great for a whole loaf) rather than round like ours, and different also is the grapevine pattern, symbolic of the wine of the Last Supper.

This set makes a wonderful clergy gift! Perfect for church use in worship services, retreats, etc. The strikingly beautiful communion set is hand-decorated with a grapevine pattern. The base glaze is a neutral speckled off-white. Brenda personally brushes the design on the vessels in her Ohio studio. Carved cross in the base of the wheel-thrown chalice. All original designs. The finished stoneware is lead-free and safe to use.
