The Pouring Chalice with pouring spout will contain approximately 10 to 12 oz. and is about 8.5" high. Traditionally the wine is blessed and can then be poured into small communion cups, providing a means of serving with less physical contact. Paten is approximately 9.5" in diameter.

From ELCA Worship Resources regarding the Pouring Chalice use -
If congregations use individual glasses, it is advised to pour during distribution rather than pre-filling them. As stated in The Sunday Assembly: “This practice will maintain the symbol of the cup, make the altar less crowded, make caring for what is left over much easier and more reverent, and actually result in a healthier practice than is possible with pre-filled glasses.”
